About Shawn Allison

Back in 2007, I took a road trip with my wife and dog to a camp spot just outside of Salida. I fell in love with Salida on my first visit and I knew that I needed to figure out how to move here. I understand why people want to live in Salida, vacation, and spend time outdoors in this special place. I am a Real Estate professional because I want people to fulfill that same dream in the Salida area.

 

Moving from Summit County, CO to Salida was easy. The change gave me an opportunity to get engrained into our community and involved in local groups and activities. In addition to being a full-time real estate agent for First Colorado, I help entrepreneurs in Chaffee County through the Small Business Development Center (SBDC). My background prior to Real Estate was owning successful businesses on the front range. I thoroughly enjoy working with entrepreneurs to help them succeed in their own business endeavors.

 

My Agricultural Business degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, CA has helped me to work closely with local ranch and land owners. I grew up on a small family farm and my appreciation for rural communities and landscapes is ingrained.

 

My wife and I enjoy anything outdoors, skiing and snowshoeing in the winter, summer on bikes, trail running, boating on the Arkansas, camping, and hiking in the surrounding wilderness.
